In 2017, Telefilm approached us to help them achieve their mission of promoting Canadian filmmakers online. The relationship which started with their Canada 150 initiative, Movie Nights Across Canada, has grown into a campaign that shines a spotlight on Canadian filmmakers through a wide range of initiatives. We provided Telefilm with digital marketing strategy, live event coverage and support, paid ad campaigns, blog post creation and curation, video featurettes, graphic content and websites.
For the the 2017 Movie Nights Across Canada campaign, we travelled alongside Telefilm to provide live event coverage and production support. Attended by filmmakers, sponsors, dignitaries, and local talent, screenings were held in Ottawa, Toronto, Winnipeg, Iqaluit, Quebec City, Halifax, Calgary and Vancouver, highlighting films created in each host province. The final three events were tied in with the opening galas of local film festivals culminating with the premiere of Mina Shum’s Meditation Park at the VIFF opening gala.
