Administrative Assistant Paid Internship Description

Reporting to the president, you will:

  • Conduct research and outreach to potential clients about the Innovate By Day services, and follow up on leads.
  • Coordinate calendar and meetings for team members and the company president
  • Research and monitor trending topics and emerging news in association with social media trends and client projects. Work with us on developing new and dynamic ways to engage audiences online. in moderation and content creation for the Innovate By Day accounts
  • Ensure meeting minutes are taken and action items identified and followed up on.
  • Participate and coordinate employee events with the Head of Projects
  • Assist with office organization and materials and general administrative duties and special projects.

Qualifications

  • Must be between 15 - 30 years of age (due to funding requirements)
  • Entitled to work in Canada (international students are unfortunately not eligible for this position due to funding requirements)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks; handles matters expeditiously, proactively, and follows-through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to interact patiently, tactfully, and effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to function professionally and pleasantly during periods of high intensity
  • Honest and trustworthy, respectful and reliable
  • Demonstrated tact and professionalism
  • Proficient in the following software:
    • macOS, including Mail
    • G-Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Calendar, Meet)
    • MS Office, including Word and Excel, an asset

 

Timeline, Rate, Eligibility:

  • Eligible employees must be 15-30 years old, entitled to work in Canada, but international students are not eligible due to funding requirement restrictions.
  • 6-8 weeks at approximately 35 hours per week or up to 280 hours,
    • The contract must be complete by February 25, 2021.
  • Rate: $16-$17
