What does it mean to be a modern day Mohawk woman? Mohawk Girls is an original half-hour dramatic comedy about four Indigenous women trying to figure out the answer.
Innovate By Day is the Digital Producer and Strategist for this groundbreaking APTN show. During production of Seasons 1 and 2 (which aired together as one season) we produced a fifteen-part web series, series featurette videos including “What is a Mohawk Girl?” and “Mohawk Girls Fashion”, the companion digital series “Mohawk Girls Minute”, behind-the-scenes profiles for each episode, a wide array of engaging graphic content including memes, and the community favourite, “Rez Rulez”. We designed and built the series website to act as an interactive hub for all things Mohawk Girls. Working closely with the writing room, we developed a mobile-friendly quiz app for the series “Which Mohawk Girl Are You?” Throughout the broadcast run, we engaged the niche community and ran a Facebook ad campaign to broaden the show’s reach
For Season 3, IBD continues its role producing brand new digital content and exciting engagement opportunities. Working with LVL, we created content for the Second Screen Experience (SSEX).
